Percent means per hundred or number out of 100. A percent can be represented as fraction with a denominator of 100, or as a decimal.

Percents greater than 100% are represented by numbers greater than 1.

For example, 200% = 2, 350% = 3.5

Be careful when converting percents less than 1% to decimals.

For example, 0.5% = 0.005, 0.1% = 0.001
