What are parametric equations?
We can describe our plane curves in terms of x, for eg. y = f(x),
or in terms of y for eg. x = f(y).
Sometimes, it is useful to have a third variable or parameter. This parameter is usually t. When both x and y are defined as a function of t, we have parametric equations.
x = f(t) and y = g(t).
The graph of parametric equations make a plane curve.
