Objective: I can change mixed numbers to improper fractions.

Proper fractions have smaller numerators than denominators.
Improper fractions have larger numerators than denominators.
Mixed numbers are written with a whole number and a fraction.

How to convert a mixed number into an improper fraction?
Step 1: Multiply the denominator by the whole number.
Step 2: Take that product and add that to the numerator of the fraction.
Step 3: Take that sum and place it over the denominator.
