This lesson can be used for revision for the higher Maths GCSE. The examples are quick and concise with exam style questions, go to GCSE Maths if you need more in-depth explanations.

How to solve linear equations?

Example 1:
(a) Solve 2y = 8
(b) Solve t - 4 = 7
(c) Solve \(\frac{x}{4} = 3\)
(d) Solve 2t + 8 = 3
(e) \(\frac{{2y}}{5} = 4\)
(f) 4(5y - 2) = 48
