Calculator skills needed for GCSE
Example 1:
(a) Use your calculator to work out the value of \(\frac{{45.6 \times 123}}{{{{0.34}^2} - {{0.28}^2}}}\)
Write down all the figures on your calculator display.
(b) Write your answer to part (a) correct to 3 significant figures.
Example 2:
(a) Use your calculator to work out the value of \(\frac{{38.5 \times 14.2}}{{18.4 - 5.9}}\)
Write down all the figures on your calculator display. You must give your answer as a decimal.
(b) Write your answer to part (a) correct to 2 significant figures.
