What Are Even and Odd Numbers?
Even numbers can be divided into two equal groups with nothing left over.
They end with 0, 2, 4, 6, or 8.
Examples: 2, 4, 16, 28, 50

Odd numbers cannot be divided into two equal groups—there’s always one left over.
They end with 1, 3, 5, 7, or 9.
Examples: 1, 3, 15, 27, 49

A simple trick to know if a number is even or odd is to look at its last digit. If the last digit is a 0, 2, 4, 6, or 8, the number is even. If the last digit is a 1, 3, 5, 7, or 9, the number is odd. This rule works no matter how big the number is.

Right down the middle,
Half and half,
Make even numbers
