From the graph, we can see that the number of homes sold in 1987 is about 156,000 and the number of homes sold in 1990 is about 112,000

The decrease over the three-year period is 44,000

The decrease per year would be 44,000 ÷ 3 ≈ 14, 667

The nearest answer would be 14,000
