Addition

In this lesson, we will look at some examples of the addition of whole numbers.

For more practise in addition (with or without carry), you could go to our Interactive Math Zone where you can generate worksheets according to your needs and get them marked online.

Example : 75 + 68 = 143

The result of addition is called the sum of the numbers. In the above example, 143 is the sum of 75 and 68.

Example : 34 + 56 + 78 = 168

Example : 1,324 + 5,687 + 33,432 = 40,443

This video gives a basic explaination of addition and the use of carry.
