Rounding and Decimal Places

In many instances exact numbers are not necessary or even deirable. In those circumstances approximations are given. Rounding is one form of approximation. A number can also be approximated to a given number of decimal places (d.p.) This refers to the quantity of numbers written after a decimal point.
