Objective: I know my number words in the thousands.

Remember the rules

1. Use a hyphen to join tens' place and ones' place.

2. Do not use the word "and".

3. If there is a zero place holder in the hundreds' and tens' place, we do not say the hundreds and tens.

4. Add a comma after the thousands' place.

Example:

3,124 is three thousand, one hundred twenty-four

5,307 is five thousand, three hundred seven

2,041 is two thousand, forty-one
